You choose, you win!

Hey Answerers!
In our quest to make Answers even more fun than what it already is, we thought we’d let you know more about different features on Answers every once in a while. While going through the questions of last week, we found so many interesting questions that you askers have not chosen the best answer to. So we thought we’d let you know that as nice as it is to have your query answered, it’s equally nice for the answerer to know that his answer is appreciated.
It’s quite simple, really. Once you’ve asked a question, answerers have four days in which to answer it. Additionally, you can choose to extend the answering period to a maximum of 7 days. Within those 7 days, you will then have to pick what you think is the best answer, be it in terms of relevance, originality or even the wow factor. You also get 3 points for choosing the best answer to your question.
But in case you haven’t picked your choice of best answer, it then gets open to the rest on board to vote – which we hope is because you’re confused and think there is more than one that merits a “best” tag. The power then rests with all other answerers to vote for their choice of best answer. Each vote fetches the voter one point.
We at Answers do hope that you choose the best answers for your own questions. Every good answer deserves a pat on the back, doesn’t it? Happy choosing!
